NOTIFICATION: The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services. About 80% of the Government health care services to the citizens are being provided free of cost. Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan, West Bengal invites offline Recruitment Applications for the direct recruitment of 81 vacant posts of Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Radiographer, Laboratory Technician, Hospital Attendant and Etc. on contractual basis under Trauma Care Unit from Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 10-12-2014.

1- MEDICAL OFFICER (General Surgeon/ Orthopaedic Surgeon/ Anaesthetist/ Neurosurgeon): 11 Posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of M.S. in relevant discipline and having at least 2 years working experience as specialist in a Hospital is desirable.
Required Age: 50 years for retired person and 65 for public sector officer.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.26,400/- per month.
2- CASUALTY MEDICAL OFFICER: 8 posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of MMBS or equivalent Allopathic degree and must have completed compulsory internship and having at least two years working experience is desirable.
Required Age: 50 years for retired person and 65 for public sector officer.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.26,400/- per month.
3- STAFF NURSE: 40 posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Nursing and having at least two years working experience is desirable.
Required Age: 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.11280/- per month.
4- RADIOGRAPHER/ M.T X-RAY: 4 posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Radiography and having at least two years working experience is desirable.
Required Age: 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.10,700/- per month.
5- LABORATORY TECHNICIAN/ M.T. (LAB): 2 posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of Bachelor’s degree of Medical Laboratory Technology/ Diploma in Medical Technology and having at least two years working experience is desirable.
Required Age: 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.10,700/- per month.
6- FEMALE HOSPITAL ATTENDANT/ FEMALE G.D.A: 16 Posts.
Required Qualification: A passed of Matriculation or its equivalent from any recognised Board.
Required Age: 40 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.6,600/- per month.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: No application fee is required.
