NOTIFICATION: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission
(OSSC) was set up by Govt. of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1994 for
carrying out direct recruitment against Group-C posts in the State cadre (as
against District cadre) as may be scheduled in the OSSC Rules, 1993. There are
some 85 different cadres of posts/ services under various departments of
Government to which recruitment is made through this Commission. Staff
Selection Commission (SSC) Odisha Region, invites online applications for the recruitment of 122 vacant posts of Traffic
Constable in OMVD under commerce & transport department of Govt. of Odisha from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian residents
who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply online at official website up to 15-01-2015.

POST WISE DETAILS: 122 posts of Traffic Constables- SC-20,

PAY SCALE: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.1900/-.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of +2 examination or equivalent examination conducted by any recognized Board/ University/ Institution/passed middle school examination with Oriya as a language subject/ passed matriculation or equivalent exam with Oriya as a medium/Class VII from a recognized Institution of state government or central government with Oriya as a medium.
REQUIRED
AGE: Candidate’s
age should not exceed 32 years as on
closing date.

RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST
/OBC and Ex Serviceman category candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 100/- as an examination fee has to be deposited either through online mode using the Odisha Treasury Portal or offline by the conventional mode of deposit in the treasury.
Fee is exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (EXs) eligible for reservation as per Govt. Orders.
Recruitment of 17 vacant posts of Junior / Senior Stenographer, Junior Grade Typist/ Data Entry Operator and Peripatetic Stamp Reporter in Cuttack.
POST
RESERVATION: The reservation for
different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India
as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in a physical test, written test and medical test conducted by the recruitment committee.
