NO OF POSTS: Various vacant posts of Short Service Commission Officers (SSC) in the Executive Branch (General service / Hydrography Cadre), Technical Branch(General Service) in Indian Navy.
ELIGIBILITY – Branches/Disciplines:
A- Executive Branch: Candidates must be completed BE/ B.Tech for General Service/ Hydrography Cadre.
B- Technician Branch: Disciplines given below -
1. Engineering Branch (General Service): Marine, Mechanical, Production, Aeronautical, Computer Science, Metallurgy, Control, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical or Electronics, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, Automation & Robotics, Mechatronics, & Management, Aerospace, Automotive, and BS Marine Engineering.
3. Electrical Branch (General Service): Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Tele Communication, Electronic & Communications, Power Engineering, Power Electronics, Control System Engineering, Instrumentation, Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of BE/ B.Tech. Degree with minimum 60% (55% for the submarine branch) marks in aggregate from any recognized Institute/University.
PAY SCALE: ₹ 15600-39100/-+ Grade Pay ₹ 5400/- + MSP ₹ 6000/- for Indian Navy Recruitment 2017 Nausena SSC Officers Jobs JAN 2018.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 Jan 1993 to 01 Jul 1998; both dates inclusive) for Indian Navy Recruitment 2017 Nausena SSC Officers Jobs JAN 2018.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), fitness in Medical Examinations and Interview.
1. Written Exam.
2. Physical Standard Test.
3. Medical Exam.
4. Interview.
NOTE: 1. IHQ of MoD reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off/ percentage of marks without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during May-July 2017. Selected candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS (provided by candidates in their application form).
2. SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
3. Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.
4. Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.
5. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the SSB on receipt of call up letter. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) by SMS/email.
6. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.
7. AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for that type of commission. Candidates will carry photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.
