NO. OF POSTS: 125 vacancies of Material Assistant, Fireman, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Firemen and Tradesman Mate in Indian Army.
BRANCH WISE VACANCIES -
1. Material Assistant: 08 Posts.
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 11 Posts.
3. Fireman: 04 Posts
4. Tradesman Mate: 102 Posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below -
1. Material Assistant: A passed of Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University OR Diploma in Material Management from any recognized Institutions OR Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from any recognized Institutions.
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC): A passed of 12th Class or equivalent from any recognized Board or University Typing proficiency (English typing @ 35 words per minute on computer or Hindi typing @ 30 words per minute corresponding to 10500 /9000 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
3. Fireman: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board. Physical Measurement (i) Height without shoes 165 cms. (ii) Chest (unexpanded) 81.5 cms (iii) Chest (expanded) 85 cms. (iv) Weight-50 Kgs.
4. Tradesman Mate: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s age should be in between of 18 to 25/27 years as on closing day for Indian Army Recruitment 125 Tradesman Mate, Fireman, LDC Posts.
• Tradesman Mate/LDC/Fireman: 18 to 25 years.
• Material Assistant: 18 to 27 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST & OBC category candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: No application fee is required.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below –
1. Material Assistant – Rs 29200/-
2. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – Rs 19900/-
3. Fireman – Rs 19900/-
4. Tradesman Mate – Rs 18000/
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Test and Typing Proficiency Test.
A -Firemen: Physical Endurance Test (PET) -
(i) Run - 1.6 Km in 6 min.
(ii) Carrying a man of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
(iii) Clearing 2.7 mtrs wide ditch & landing on both feet (long jump).
(iv) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using both hands and feet.
B -Tradesmen Mate: Physical Test -
(i) Run - 1.5 Km in 6 min.
(ii) Endurance test with a weight of 50 Kg sand bag to a distance of 200 meters in 100 seconds.
Last Date: Within 21 Days from the Date of Publication.
Last Date for Candidate of Far Flung Areas: Within 28 Days from the Date of Publication.

(ii) Date of Birth Certificate.
(iii) Caste Certificate where applicable.
(iv) Discharge certificate for Ex-Serviceman or NOC from the competent authority for serving Defence Personnel who are completing the prescribed period of Army services within a year from the last date for receiving application.
c. Medical certificate (format attached) issued by Central / State Government medical board consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing locomotor / cerebral / visual / hearing disability and certifying the percentage of disability (i.e. 40% and above).
d. Self addressed envelope affixing postal stamps of Rs 25/-.
NOTE: The last date of receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News. In case of candidates belonging to Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, Laddakh Sub Division of Jammu and Kashmir state, Lahaul & Spiti District of Pangi Sub Division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island & Lakshadeep last date for receipt of application shall be 28 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
