NOTIFICATION:     The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), statutory organisation, was constituted in September, 1974 under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Further, CPCB was entrusted with the powers and functions under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. It serves as a field formation and also provides technical services to the Ministry of Environment and Forests of the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. Principal Functions of the CPCB, as spelt out in the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, (i) to promote cleanliness of streams and wells in different areas of the States by prevention, control and abatement of water pollution, and (ii) to improve the quality of air and to prevent, control or abate air pollution in the country. Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) Delhi invites offline Recruitment Applications for the direct recruitment of 41 vacant posts of Scientist, FM Specialist, Office Manager, Account Assistant, Taxonomist & Others on deputation /contractual basis for a period of three years extendable as per requirement, from Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 17-12-2014.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:    As per details given below-

1. Scientist F (Chief project Coordinator):    A passed of Doctorate degree in natural sciences (or) post graduate in Engineering/ technology (or) doctorate degree in Engineering/technology.

2. Scientist E (Project Coordinator):     A passed of Master’s /doctorate in engineering/ technology (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Energy and Environment and Biotechnology)/ Master’s degree Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences and allied discipline, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology).

3. Scientist D (Water Quality Analyst):       A passed of Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences and allied discipline/ Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology. OR Master’s degree in engineering/ technology (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental engineering).

4. Scientist D (Real time network engineer):        A passed of Master’s degree in engineering/ technology (Chemical, Civil, Technical, Energy Studies, Environmental engineering).

5. Scientist D (Officer Pollution Inventory):        A passed of Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences and allied discipline Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology and Microbiology

OR Master’s degree in engineering/ technology (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental engineering).

10. Account Assistant:        A passed of Bachelor’s degree in commerce or economics.

11. Office Assistant:        A passed of Graduate.

12. Data Entry Operator:       A passed of Graduate.

13. Field Assistant:       A passed of 10+2 with science subjects.

14. Taxonomist:       A passed of M. Sc in Botany or Zoology.

REQUIRED AGE:  Applicant’s required age should not exceed 56 years as on closing date.

AGE RELAXATION:    Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.

REQUIRED FEE:    No application fee is required.

POST RESERVATION:   Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
