Indian Forest Service Examination, 2018 (IFS Exam 2018): 110 posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
AGE LIMIT: A candidate must have the age in between of 21 years and 32 years on 01-08- 2018, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1986 and not later than 1st August, 1997.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC category candidates for UPSC Recruitment 2018 Apply 110 Indian Forest Service Exam Posts.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: An amount of Rs. 100/- as an application fee by General & OBC category candidates to be paid either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Main Examination Centres: The Main Examination will be held on the following Centres -
Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women/ Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt policy /rules.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview.
UPSC will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
PLAN OF EXAMINATION: The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of 2 successive stages below -
1. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination;
2. Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.
NOTE: Applications are now invited for the Preliminary Examination only. Candidates who will be declared by the Commission to have qualified for admission to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will have to apply again, in the Online Detailed Application Form which would be made available on the Website of the Commission after declaration of Results of Preliminary Examination. The Main Examination is likely to be held in December, 2018.
Date of (Pre) Examination: 3rd June 2018.
Date of (Mains) Examination: 2nd December 2018.
