new initiative designed to augment faculty
resources in Indian Universities with demonstrated flair for research and
teaching. Initial appointments at each level shall be for a period of 5 yrs,
extendible through peer evaluation by
successive 5-year terms.There is
provision for elevation to next higher rank following end-of-term or mid-term
appraisal of those occupying the position of Assistant / Associate Professor.
Age: The positions are extendable
till the age of superannuation, up to 65 years.
Professor: Pay Scale of - Rs.
37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 10000/-.
Associate Professor: Pay Scale of Rs. 37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 9000/.
Assistant Professor: Pay Scale of Rs. 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/.
