West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) invites application to fill up 273 vacant positions of Assistant Professor vacancies in various subjects and Medical Officer (General Duty) for Government and Technological Colleges under the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal in the West Bengal General Services in West Bengal Employees State Insurance Medical Service (Basic Grade) under the Labour Department vacancies from Indian Nationals  who are eligible and interested up to 04-06-2013.

POST WISE DETAILS: Assistant Professor & Medical Officer (general duty) - 273 posts-

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech./ any of the Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part – II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal. Desirable: Six months practical training as House Staff in Government hospital or other recognized Institution /from recognized Universities/Institutions.

REQUIRED AGE:  Assistant Professor - not more than 35 years, Medical Graduates - not more than 32 years and Post-graduate Medical qualifications - not more than 40 years as on 01-01-2013.

REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.210/- for all candidates.

POST RESERVATION: Government of India Directives on reservation applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.

HOW TO APPLY:  Candidates can download application from official website. Applications should be sent strictly by registered or speed post or under certificate of posting to “The Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700026”  up to 04-06-2013. Application may also be submitted personally between 11-00 a.m. and 3-30 p.m. on all working days to the above address of the Commission’s office. Two self-addressed unstamped envelopes and one self-addressed post card should be enclosed with the application.
