1. Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’.
2. Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade-II.
3. Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’.
4. Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’.
5. Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’.
6. Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers service Grade ‘C’.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: The candidates should possess Intermediate/ Class 12th standard Examination from any recognized University/ Board or its equivalent qualification OR Any regularly appointed Grade ‘D’ or Grade-3 employee of the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service OR Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) OR Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service OR Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service OR Election Commission of India Stenographers Service OR Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers Service and Central Administrative Tribunal Stenographers Service OR Court Master who satisfies the following conditions shall be eligible to appear at the examination and will be considered for vacancies in his/her service only. For example, Grade ‘D’ Stenographers of the Railway Board Stenographers service will be eligible only for vacancies in Grade “C” of the Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service.
EXAMINATION CENTERS: DELHI, ALLAHABAD, MUMBAI, BANGALORE, KOLKATA, GUWAHATI, CHENNAI, CHANDIGARH AND RAIPUR.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s max age is 50 years as on 04-04-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Age relaxation is applicable as per the Govt. rules.
PAY SCALE: Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band –2 - Rs. 9300/-34800/-+ grade pay Rs. 4200/-.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.100/- as an application fee by General and OBC category candidates to be paid through net SBI banking OR SBI challan form downloaded from official website.
Women candidates / Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for reservation need not to pay application fee as per extant Government orders.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Shortlisted eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written test and Interview.

1. General Awareness: 100 marks.
2. English Language Comprehension and Writing Ability: 100 marks.
