REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per given details below-
1- GRADUATE IN MECHANICAL / MECHANICAL: A passed of a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University.
2- DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL: A passed of a Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering/Technology from Board of Technical Education of a State.
FITTER: A passed of a S.S.C./Matriculation at 1st attempt with minimum 50% marks for General category candidates.
3- CARPENTER / WELDER: A passed of a 8th standard and National Trade Certificate Examination Conducted by NCVT in respective trade (Carpenter/ Welder) in I.T.I.
4- MECHANIC (DIESEL): A passed of a 10th standard /S.S.C or its equivalent under 10+2 system and National Trade Certificate Examination conducted by the NCVT in Mechanic (Diesel) trade in I.T.I.
5- PIPE FITTER: A passed of a 10th standard /S.S.C or its equivalent under 10+2 system and National Trade Certificate Examination conducted by the NCVT in Plumber trade in I.T.I.
6- MACHINIST, ELECTRICIAN, MECHANIC AND DRAUGHTSMAN: A passed of a 10th standard /S.S.C or its equivalent under 10+2 system and National Trade Certificate Examination conducted by the NCVT in respective trade [Machinist/ Electrician/Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) / Draughtsman (Mechanical)] in I.T.I.
7- PROGRAMMING AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (PASAA): A passed of a 12th standard/HSC or equivalent and National Trade Certificate Examination in the trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) in I.T.I.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 14 years to 19 years for S.S.C passed candidates and 21 years for I.T.I. passed candidates as on 01-10-2014.
No upper limit for Graduate and Technician Apprentices candidates.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC & Ex Servicemen category candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: A non refundable application fee of Rs.20/- in cash or in the form of crossed Postal Order drawn in favour of “BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF PORT OF MUMBAI” and payable at G.P.O. Mumbai is to be paid by candidates by all candidates.
The physically handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
NOTE: In case the candidates desire application forms and prospectus by post, such candidate must send a crossed Postal Order of Rs. 20/-accompanied by a self addressed envelope of 9” X 4 ½ " affixed with a postal stamp of Rs.15/-. Payment in any other forms will not be accepted.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written Examination followed by Interview.
