NOTIFICATION: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites online/offline applications for the recruitment of 1997 vacant posts of Group-“C” of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk through Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2014 from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply online/offline at official website up to 19-08-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 1997 posts of Group-“C” of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk –
1- Data Entry Operator: 1006 posts.
2- Lower Division Clerk: 991 posts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of 12th class or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institute.
PAY SCALE: Rs. 5200/-20500/-+ GP Rs.1900/- & 2400/- as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years & 27 years as on 01-08-2014 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1987 and not later than 01-08-1996).
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC and Ex Serviceman category candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 100/- payable through CRF Stamp in case of Off-line and SBI Challan or on-line payment through State Bank of India for on-line applications.
PAYMENT THROUGH OFFLINE CHALLAN: Offline payment through chalan can be made up to 21-08-2014. CRFS are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. It is in the interest of candidates that they get the CRFS cancelled from the concerned Post Office otherwise application will be cancelled.
Fee is exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (EXs) eligible for reservation as per Govt. Orders.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicant will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination and Skill Test/ Typing Test.
