REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of good academic record with minimum 55% marks at the Master's degree or equivalent (or equivalent grade). Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST Candidate of the State, while physically challenged persons from any part of the country will be given relaxation of 5% marks at Master's degree. But both benefits shall not be admissible to any such candidate/ A candidate must have passed NET/SET or equivalent test accredited by U.G.C/ The Candidates who have obtained Ph.D. Degree on the basis of Minimum Standard and Procedure Regulation, 2009 framed by the University Grants Commission for M. Phil/Ph. D Degree, shall be exempted from passing the National Eligibility Test/ NET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SET is not conducted.
PAY SCALE: As recommended by the University Grants Commission from time to time and accepted by the Government of Bihar.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicant’s required age should be in between of 23 - 55 years as on 01-01- 2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.100/- + Rs.50/- (Bank Charges) by General and OBC Category and Rs.25/- + Rs.50/- (Bank Charges) by Reserved category Candidates. The fee may be paid through prescribed format of SBI Bank Challan form available in the website payable at any branch of State Bank of India in the Account No: 31650243410.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance of in academic marks & Interview.
NOTE: Educational Qualification shall carry 85 marks and Interview 15 marks. The distribution of marks for Academic and Interview has been given below-

1. Matriculation: 10 marks.
2. Intermediate: 10 marks.
3. Graduation: 25 marks.
4. Post Graduation: 30 marks.
