NOTIFICATION:      Indo-Tibetian Border Police Force (ITBP) is one of the largest Armed Force of India.  ITBP is known as Indo-Tibetan Border Police and it was formed on 24th October 2014. It is a government agency and works under the Ministry of Home - Affairs (India). It made for security along the Indian's Border with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) invites offline application for the recruitment of 472 General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non Gazetted (Non Ministerial) posts of Constable (Driver) on temporary basis likely to be permanent from Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 16-02-2015.

POST WISE DETAILS:      472 posts of Constable (Driver) - UR-149, OBC-95, SC-180, ST-48.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:      A passed of Matriculation or 10th class from any recognised Board or Institution or equivalent and applicants must have a valid motor driving license (Transport) for Light or Medium or Heavy vehicles with minimum 2 years experience in vehicle driving.

PAY SCALE:    Rs. 5200-20200/-+ grade pay Rs. 2000/-.

REQUIRED AGE:   The required age of a candidate should be in between of 20-27 years as on closing date.

AGE RELAXATION:    Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.

PHYSICAL STANDARD:  Candidates applying for these posts must be physically, mentally and medically fit as per Force standard.

REQUIRED FEE:    The candidates belonging to General and OBC category will have to pay the fee of Rs. 50/-non-refundable as application fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage.

Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying fee.

POST RESERVATION:   Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:   Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in PET/ Physical measurement, written Test, Medical test & or interview/ Phase-I, Phase-II, Phase-III & Phase-IV tests-

PHASE-I:  Height bar Test, Race Event, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Biometric Identification.

PHASE-II:  Written Test, Syllabus of written test is GK/ Language (Hindi/ English)/ Mathematics (MCQ), Marks and Trade related theory (MCQ).

PHASE-III:   Practical (Skill) Test - Initial Driving Test, Final Driving Test.

PHASE-IV:  Verification of Original Documents, Detailed Medical Test.

APPEAL IN CASE OF REJECTION IN MEDICAL TEST:   The candidates declared unfit in detailed medical examination, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an application for their review medical examination (RME) with a duly filled Medical fitness certificate (at Annexure-VI) as a proof of evidence about the error of judgment on the part of Recruitment Medical Officer.

1- The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected as unfit for appointment in ITBP by a Medical Officer.

2- The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains Medical Re-Examination Fee of Rs. 25/- in form of Indian Postal Order and Rejection Slip (original) issued by the Presiding Officer. RME fee in the form of IPO should be prepared in the name of THE INSPECTOR GENERAL (Central) Frontier, ITB Police.

3- The appeal complete in all respects should be submitted within 15 days from the date
of issue of the communication i.e. Rejection Slip (ITBP will not be responsible for any postal delay) in which the finding of the Medical Officer are communicated to the candidate. The application for Re-Medical Examination shall be sent to THE INSPECTOR GENERAL (North West) Frontier Hqr, ITB Police, PO – Seema Nagar, Near – Airport, Chandigarh (UT) PIN 160003.

4- The decision of the RME board of ITBP shall be final and no 2nd appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions and also no reply of the correspondence/second appeal will be given/entertained.

4- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Certificate should be issued by an authority not lower than Tehsildar or SDO in the format as attached at Annexure-‘III’.

5- Passport or Pan Card or Voter ID or Adhar Card or Domicile Certificate for verification of Indian Citizenship.

6- OBC (NCL) Certificate as per Annexure – IV.

7- Height/Chest relaxation Certificate as per Annexure-‘V’, if applicable.

8- Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen.

9- Two self-addressed envelopes of 4”x9” size with Rs. 5/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.

10- Candidates already in Govt. service must submit their application through proper channel with the NOC as per Annexure-VI.
