ABOUT: The Jharkhand State came into existence on 15th November, 2000 by carving out 18 districts of Bihar. The Jharkhand Public Service Commission was constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) was established with the aim of making a commission fully responsible for making the recruitment for the government posts in the state. The main objective of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is to conduct written competitive examination and also the interviews for the selections of the candidates for any government posts in the state.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Graduate in any or concerned discipline from any University recognized by Central/ State Government.
PAY SCALE: Rs.9300-34800/-+ grade pay Rs.5400/ Rs.4800/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s age should be in between of 21/22 years - 35 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A non refundable application fee of Rs.450/- by common class, OBC I & OBC – II and Rs. 150/- by SC, ST, of Jharkhand candidates to be paid through online mode SBI or offline through challan.
PWH are exempted from paying of application fee but they have to pay bank charge.

POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test in 2 levels (preliminary examination, mains examination) and followed by personal interview.
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION SYLLABUS: Pre examination of Jharkhand PCS will comprise of 2 papers which carry 100 marks each.
General examination Paper 1 - It consists of the following topics:
• History of India and Indian countrywide motion.
• Indian phrase geography.
• Indian Politics and economic system.
• History, geography, economic system, and tradition of Jharkhand.
General examination GS paper 2 – It consists of the following topics:
• General Science.
• General Mental capacity.
