NOTIFICATION: Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), Thiruvarur has notified a recruitment to fill up 55 Faculty vacant posts of various Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professors in various disciplines from the candidates who have qualified in Post Graduate/ Ph.D Degree/NET with required experience in concerned discipline and having eligible age limit. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in personal interview. The selected candidates will be paid a salary as per Govt. Rules. Employment Notice No. CUTN/T/06/2015. ABOUT: Central University of Tamil Nadu was established by an Act of Parliament (Act No.25 of 2009). The University strives to disseminate and to advance knowledge in humanities, social sciences and, basic and applied sciences. It aims at promoting innovation in teaching-learning process, interdisciplinary studies and research, and gives special attention to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the people and also their academic, intellectual and cultural development. The academic programmes of the University are periodically updated and revised.The University was inaugurated on 30th September 2009. The foundation stone was laid by Shri. Kapil Sibal, Honourable Union Minister of Human Resources Development, in the presence of Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The University is located at Thiruvarur, the headquarters of Thiruvarur District, in the heart of the Cauvery Delta.

Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs.10,000/-.
Required Qualification: Ph.D Degree with required experience in concerned discipline from any recognized University.
2 - Associate Professor: 18 posts.
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs.9,000/-.
Required Qualification: Ph.D Degree with required experience in concerned discipline from any recognized University.
3 - Assistant Professor: 27 posts.
Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-39,100/- + Grade Pay Rs.6,000/-.
Required Qualification: Post Graduate/ Ph.D Degree in concerned discipline from any recognized University.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s age should be as per UGC rules. Age for retirement on superannuation at present is 65 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A non refundable Application fee of Rs. 750/- by General & OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- by ST/SC/PWD candidates to be paid through chalan form in IOB or by other banks in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of “Central University of Tamil Nadu” payable at Thiruvarur / Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu.
