ABOUT: Sixth Battalion of Jharkhand Armed Police was constituted on Lahiri pattern of formation by the erstwhile Bihar Govt. in year 1971 as Bihar Military Police 11 on 1/4/1971. Initially, it started functioning at BMP-5 Campus at Patna. On 12/02/1975 this battalion shifted to Jamshedpur in Tata foundry campus. In February, 1988 it was shifted to Baridih and since then it is functional at the present location. The campus has its own office, parade ground, sports ground, armoury, barracks and family accommodations.
