NOTIFICATION: Indian Navy (Government of India Ministry of Defence) inviting online applications for filling up various vacant posts of Technical Officers in various disciplines for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Executive Branch (General Service/Hydro Cadre/IT) and Technical Branches (GS/ Submarine / Naval Architecture) of the Indian Navy for June 2017 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala from eligible and interested willing unmarried male/Female candidates. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of BE/ B.Tech. Degree with minimum 60% (55% for submarine branch) marks in aggregate from any recognized University.
PAY SCALE: Rs.15600-39100/-+ Grade Pay Rs.5400/- and MSP Rs.6000/- for Recruitment of SSC Technical Officers in Indian Navy.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1992to 01 January 1998; both dates inclusive).
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. Refer notification.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in SSB Interview and marks obtained in Academic Examination for Recruitment of SSC Technical Officers in Indian Navy.
NOTE -
A - IHQ of MoD reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off/ percentage of marks without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during November 2016 to March 2017.
B - SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
C - Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.
D - Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.
E - Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the SSB on receipt of call up letter. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) by SMS/email.
F - No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.
G - AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for that type of commission.
