NO OF POSTS: 300 vacant posts of Assistant Engineers in various trades in Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), Chennai.
Post Wise Vacancies -
1. Assistant Engineer (Electrical): 300 posts -
a) Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 273 posts.
b) Electronics and Communication Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering: 21 posts.
c) Computer Science/ Information Technology Engineering: 06 posts.
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil): 25 posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of a Bachelor Degree in EEE/ECE/EIE/ CSE /IT/Civil/ Engineering -
OR
AMIE (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch/Civil recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Knowledge of Tamil Language: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification -
Explanation: For this purpose, a person will be deemed to possess an adequate knowledge in Tamil in the case of a post for which Educational Qualification prescribed is the minimum general educational Qualification and above he/she must have passed the SSLC/HSC/Degree etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or studied the High school course in Tamil medium and passed the SSLC Public examination in Tamil medium. Every person appointed to the post whose first language is other than Tamil should pass the Tamil language EXAMINATION conducted by the TNPSC within the period of probation otherwise action as deemed fit will be taken as per Service Regulation amended from time to time.
PAY SCALE: The candidate on their selection will be placed on 3 months training and they shall be paid a consolidated pay of Rs.15,200/- p.m. and they should be prepared to serve anywhere in TNEB LTD., TANTRANSCO and TANGEDCO. After successful completion of training period they shall be placed in the Pay Band of Rs.10,100 – 34,800/- + Grade pay Rs. 5100/-.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 14 years – 30 years as on 01-07-2017 for TNEB TANGEDCO Recruitment 2018 latest 325 AE (Civil/ Electrical) Posts.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 590/- including GST by OC, BCO, BCM, MBC/ DC candidates and Rs. 295/- by Destitute widow and Differently abled persons/ SC, SCA, ST candidates to be paid through online mode.
