NOTIFICATION: Bangalore University, Karnataka inviting offline applications for filling up 55 Faculty backlog vacant posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professors in various disciplines from qualified eligible and interested willing candidates within the state of Karnataka belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for Backlog Teaching posts (Special recruitment) in the Post-Graduate Departments, Bangalore University, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bengaluru-560056. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below -
1- Professor: An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) in the concerned I allied I relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and I or research! Policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and /or ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals/ Books hosted in the website of the University. A minimum of 10 years of teaching expenence in University / College, and / or experience in research at the University / National level institutions / industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
2- Associate Professor: A passed of good Academic record with a Ph. D Degree in the concerned /allied/relevant discipline and Master Degree from any recognized Institute /University with required experience in relevant discipline. A minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution I industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and I or research I policy papers in indexed/lSBN/ISSN numbered journals and ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals I Books hosted in the website of the University.
3- Assistant Professor: A passed of good Academic record as defined by the concerned University and Master Degree level in a relevant subject from any recognized Institute /University with required experience in relevant discipline. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below -
1. Professor: Rs. 37,400/- to 67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/-.
2. Associate Professor: Rs. 37,400/- to 67,000/- + GP Rs. 9,000/-.
3. Assistant Professor: Rs. 15,600/- to 39,100/- + GP Rs. 6,000/-.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be as per Department/ University Norms for Bangalore University Recruitment 2018 | Apply 55 BU Faculty Jobs.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. A set of prescribed application form can be had by downloading from the University website: www.bangaloreuniversity.ac.in and the prescribed application fee i.e. down loaded application form fee of Rs. 100/- by D.D. drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru". Payable at Jnanabharathi Campus, in the State Bank of India, Nagarabhavi Branch, Bengaluru-560056.
The filled in Applications shall be accompanied by a D.D towards processing Fee of Rs.250/- for the post of Assistant Professor and Rs.500/- for post of Associate Professor and Professor drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru".
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women /Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Interview for the post of Associate Professor and Professor. The final selection shall be made by giving weightage to Score Card marks and Presentation and Interview marks.
