To be getting selected in this organization screened candidates will have to pass in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations conducted by authorized officials. NO OF POSTS: Various vacant posts of 10+2 Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) - Feb 2019 batch in various disciplines in Indian Navy.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of 10+2/ equivalent examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects out of Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from any recognized Board/Institute/ University.
PAY SCALE: During the initial training period, stipend of Rs 14600/- pm will be paid. After completion of successful training they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100/-). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month + DA (as applicable).
AGE LIMIT: Candidates should have been born in between of 01 Feb 1998 to 31 Jan 2002 (Both dates inclusive) for Join Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 for Sailors-SSR 10+2 Vacancy.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
TRAINING: The training for the course will commence in Feb 2019, with 22 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch / Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. Refer notification. The application can be uploaded from Common Service Centres (CSC) across the country, against fixed fee of Rs 60/- + GST.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC /Women /Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability /eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
Written Test:
1. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
2. The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
3. The question paper will be of 10+2 standard and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
4. Duration of examination will be one hour.
5. The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT): PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
Medical Exam: Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standards prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
