EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of Diploma/B.Sc/ Bachelor's Degree in relevant stream (Agriculture/ Agricultural Science/Automobile Engineering /Botany/Chemical Engineering /Technology/Chemistry/Chemical Science /Civil Engineering/Computer Science /Engineering/ Technology/ Information Technology/Electrical & Electronics Engineering /Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/Geology/LibraryScience/ Mathematics/ Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engg (Production/ Automobile/ Refrigeration/ Air Conditioning /Maintenance etc.) /Metallurgical Engineering /Photography or Cinematography (Vocational Photography & Cinematography) /Physics /Zoology/ Life Science) from any recognized University /Institute.
PAY SCALE: Level-6 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs.56100/-). Total emoluments at the time of joining will be approximately Rs. 50,000/- P. M including allowances in class ‘X’ cities at the present Metro city Rate.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years – 28 years as on closing date for DRDO Recruitment (2018) for 494 Posts of Senior Technical Assistant B.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs.100/‐ by General & OBC candidates have to pay through onlinethrough credit card/debit card/net banking.
All women and SC/ST/PWD/ESM candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women/Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in 2 tiers: Tier-I, Tier-II & preliminary document verification.
Tier-I & Tier-II Tests: Both the test will be Computer Based Test (CBT). CBT will be conducted in two tiers as described in Table-1. The CBT will consist of objective type-multiple choice questions only. The syllabus of the examinations will be commensurate to essential qualification required for the post. The medium for examination will be Hindi or English. Tier-I examination is for screening only. Tier-II examination is for provisional selection. Marks will be normalized in Tier-I & Tier-II examination as per best practices.
EXAM SCHEME -
1. Tier I - CBT for Screening Test common to all post-codes: Quantitative ability/aptitude, General intelligence & Reasoning ability, General awareness, English language (basic knowledge), General science – 150 questions, 150 max marks and 120 minutes time.
2. Tier II - CBT for Provisional Selection: Test specific to subject of post-code – 100 questions, 100 max marks and 90 minutes duration.
SCREENING CRITERIA: Tier-I exam is for screening. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-I is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on Tier-I examination merit in a ratio of 1:10 (No. of vacancy: No. of shortlisted candidates) provided they secure the minimum qualifying marks in examination. However, this ratio may increase depending upon organizational requirements. The last candidate securing equal marks in the bracket will also be included. These shortlisted candidates will be called for Tier-II examination.
PROVISIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA: The provisional selection will be based on the merit obtained in Tier-II examination depending upon the post/category/sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-II is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
NOTE: SC, ST, OBC and PWD candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will be considered against the unreserved vacancies as per Govt. of India orders. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates.
