Gender Wise Vacancies -
1. Constables (Executive) Male: 87 Posts.
2. Constables (Executive) Female: 43 Posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of 10 + 2 (Senior Secondary) or Intermediate or equivalent from any recognized Board or Central/State Board.
REQUIREMENT OF DRIVING LICENSE: This being a Special Recruitment Drive for North Eastern states, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi has accorded a one time relaxation to the applicants of North Eastern States who intend to apply for the post of “Constable” in Delhi Police. In other words, it is not mandatory to have a driving license for LMV (Motor-cycle/Car) in order to be eligible to apply. However, this relaxation is subject to the condition that a valid driving license shall have to be obtained within one year of the appointment.
MEDICAL STANDARD: The candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 (without glasses) and shall be free from color blindness. Detailed requirements are mentioned in the Standing Order No. 212/2016 of Delhi Police.
CHECKING OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES FOR ELIGIBILITY: All candidates are required to bring original as well as photo-copies of their documents/certificates at the time of PE & MT, pertaining to age, education, SC/ST/OBC, PRC of Assam, and Sports achievements etc. for seeking any relaxation in the eligibility criteria. Applicants may note that in order to claim any relaxation in the eligibility criteria on the basis of SC/ST/OBC Certificates, the certificates must be in the format prescribed by the competent authority. The candidates already in Govt. service will also submit NOC at the time of PE&MT.
AGE LIMIT: The age of the male candidates should be in between of 18 to 21 years and for female candidates 18 to 25 years as on 01-07-2018 for Delhi Police 2018 Recruitment Assam130 Constable Posts - Apply Now.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
NOTE : Relaxation in upper age limit shall be available to sportsmen/sportswomen of distinction only if they have represented a state at the national level and/or the country at the international level during the preceding 03 years (from the date of advertisement of vacancies) in any of the following sports : Athletics, Swimming, Shooting, Boxing, Cycling, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Judo, Karate, Equestrian, Archery, Table Tennis, Tennis, Kho-Kho, Triathlon, Badminton, Volleyball, Basket-ball, Football, Kabaddi, Hockey and Cricket. PAY SCALE: Rs. 5200 - 20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- and other allowances as admissible (Level-3 as per 7th CPC).
STANDARD OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT: As per details given below -
MALE -
1. HEIGHT: 165 cms - For all candidates.
2. CHEST: Min. 76 cms un-expanded & 80 cms when expanded - For all candidates.
FEMALE: HEIGHT: 155 cms - For all candidates.
PHYSICAL ENDURANCE TEST (QUALIFYING): As per details given below -
a. RACE -
1. MALE: 1600 mtrs in 6 minutes.
2. FEMALE: 1600 mtrs in 8 minutes.
b. LONG JUMP –
1. MALE: 14 feet.
2. FEMALE: 10 feet.
c. HIGH JUMP –
1. MALE: 3’9” feet.
2. FEMALE: 3 feet.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. Applicants will have to deposit a fee of Rs. 300/- (in cash or by Demand Draft - non refundable) along with the filled up application form. The demand draft shall be in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (Payable at Delhi) which should be valid for 06 months. However, no fee is to be deposited by SC/ST and Women candidates as well as by Ex-servicemen applicants provided they produce a copy of discharge book or NOC. POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ Women/Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability /eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Written Test, medical exam and Police Verification.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for Physical Endurance & Measurement Test. The qualified candidates of PE & MT will be put through written test.
• The selection procedure will comprise of written test. The written test will be of 90 minutes duration and will comprise of 100 objective type questions on Reasoning, General Knowledge/ Current Affairs and Numerical Ability. The question paper will be Bilingual (English and Hindi).
• The final merit list of the selected candidates will be made on the basis of overall marks secured in the written test.
