EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below –
1. LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): A passed of 12th Standard or equivalent examination from any recognized Board or University.
2. Data Entry Operator (DEO)/(C&AG): A passed of 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from any recognized Board or equivalent.
NOTE: All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Intermediate/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ Senior Secondary in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-08-2019, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 27 years as on 01-08-2019 ie. (Candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001).
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below -
1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Rs. 5200-20200/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- (pre-revised).
2. Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Rs. 5200-20200/- +Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- (pre-revised).
3. Data Entry Operator (DEO): Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- (pre-revised).
4. Data Entry Operator, Grade “A”: Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- (pre-revised).
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).

EXAM PATTERN: The candidates are required to appear in the written exam for SSC CHSL - 2018 Exam as conducted on the specified dates. Applicants will get 2 hours duration to solve the question paper and negative marking will be of 1/2 per question. The written examination is based on objective type questions and descriptive type on the main topics -
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination-Objective Type): The question paper will be divided into 4 sections- English language (Basic Knowledge), General Awareness, General Intelligence and Quantitative aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill).
• There will be total 25 questions allotted to each section and the total marks for each section will be 50.
• The duration of the examination will be 60 mints (80 Minutes for candidates eligible for scribes). The questions will be of MCQ type.
• Dates of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 01-07-2019 to 26-07-2019.
• The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.
• There will be a penalty of 1/2 marks for each wrong answer.
Question Set -
1. General Intelligence: 25 Questions - 50 Marks.
2. English Language: 25 Questions - 50 Marks.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions - 50 Marks.
4. General Awareness: 25 Questions - 50 Marks.
Tier-II (Descriptive Paper): Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in „Pen and Paper‟ Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates eligible for scribes as per Paras 8.1 and 8.2 above). The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words.
• The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.
• The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
• The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will be awarded zero marks.
Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 29.09.2019.
Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test): Skill Test/ Typing Test for the qualified candidates will be conducted on computers provided by the Commission or its authorized agency.
• Skill Test/ Typing Test will be conducted in the cities where Regional Offices of the Commission are located or as decided by the Commission.
• Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
