NO OF VACANCIES: 65 vacant posts of Short Service Commission for Civilian Dental Surgeons in the Army Dental Corps.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of BDS/MDS (with minimum 55% marks in final year BDS) passed out from a College/University recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI). He/she should have completed one-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship as mandated by DCI by 31 Mar 2019 & must be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificate of State Dental Council/DCI valid at least up to 31 Dec 2019.
Note: Only those candidates (BDS/ MDS) who have appeared in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2019 conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, under the aegis of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, on 14 Dec 2018, at various examination centers of NBE, are eligible to apply. Candidates must submit the copy of Mark-sheet/Score card of NEET (MDS)-2019 along with the application.
PHYSICAL FITNESS: Physical standards/ Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for commission in the Armed Forces.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: As per details given below -
1. Height & Weight: The minimum acceptable heights with correlated weight for men are 157.5 cms & weight should be 49.5 Kgs. The minimum acceptable height with correlated weight for women is 152 cms & weight of 42 Kgs. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height.

3. To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
MARITAL STATUS: Single/Married/Divorcee or otherwise legally separated /Widow for Military Dental Service in Indian Army Recruitment 2019.
PERMANENT COMMISSION: SSC Officers of the MNS will be considered for grant of permanent commission as per existing rules as amended from time to time. They will be subjected to interview by a Selection Board duly constituted for the same. However, the grant of Permanent Commission will be subject to availability of vacancies in the Cadre.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should not exceed 45 years as on 31-12-2019 for Indian Army Recruitment 2019 SSC Officer in Army Dental Corps Vacancies.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
PAY SCALE/ EMOLUMENTS: Civilian Dental surgeons on commission in AD Corps will be granted rank of Captain in the pay scale, Level 10 B (61,300-1,93,900) of Defence Pay Matrix as elaborated in Army Pay Rules-2017 (7th Pay Commission). They will be entitled to Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 15,500/-, Non Practicing Allowance (NPA) at the rate of 20% of Basic Pay, HRA (if applicable) as per category of the city, (i.e. X, Y, Z, where the officer is posted) and Dearness Allowance as admissible depending upon the rank & area of posting, officers posted to field areas are eligible for Field Area Allowance, High Altitude Allowance, Siachen Allowance, as applicable and other Allowances applicable time to time.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non-refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 200/- to be paid by eligible candidates through a Demand Draft Drawn in favour of “Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund) / DGAFMS (APF Fund)” payable at New Delhi. It is to be ensured that the Demand Draft bears the name, contact No & address of the candidate at the back of the demand draft. The date of issue of the Demand Draft should be after the publication of this advertisement.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC /Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.

4. Final year BDS Mark Sheets (Part I & Part II). Candidates should have secured a min of 55% marks in final BDS.
5. BDS & MDS Provisional Pass Certificate/Degree Certificate.
6. Compulsory Rotatory Internship completion certificate.
7. Permanent/Provisional State Dental Council registration certificate.
8. Nationality Certificate/ valid passport/ voter I-Card issued by Election Commission of India as a Proof of Nationality.
9. Aadhaar Card of the candidate issued by UIDAI, Govt. of India (if available).
10. In case of any change in name of candidate after Matriculation (10th Class) necessary notification or any other authority clearly highlighting your change of name.
11. Authority under which BDS/MDS Dental College/batch (of passed out candidate) is recognized by DCI. A certificate endorsing/certifying the same may be acquired from the college authorities.
12. No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if any.
13. Two Passport size photographs to be attached along-with the application form. 05 additional, passport size photographs will be required for candidates, who are shortlisted to undergo medical examination.
14. Enclose one self-addressed post card for ‘Acknowledgement’ & one self-addressed envelope of size 23 cms x10 cms along-with Rs 50/- postal stamps, for return correspondence, if any, through speed post. (Applications without envelope & postal stamps of the specified amount will be rejected).
Document Verification: The candidates shortlisted for the interview will produce all the original certificates for verification as applicable at the time of Interview. Candidates without Documents in original at the time of Interview will not be eligible even if he / she have got the necessary merit.
