EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Minimum eligibility criteria are as per UGC /AICTE / NCTE/ Pondicherry University -Specialization/Qualifications whichever is applicable. As per details given below -
1- Professor: An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification(s) in the concerned I allied I relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and I or research! Policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and /or ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals/ Books hosted in the website of the University. A minimum of 10 years of teaching expenence in University / College, and / or experience in research at the University / National level institutions / industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
2- Associate Professor: A passed of good Academic record with a Ph. D Degree in the concerned /allied/relevant discipline and Master Degree from any recognized Institute /University with required experience in relevant discipline. A minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution I industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and I or research I policy papers in indexed/lSBN/ISSN numbered journals and ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals I Books hosted in the website of the University.
3- Assistant Professor: A passed of good Academic record as defined by the concerned University and Master Degree level in a relevant subject from any recognized Institute /University with required experience in relevant discipline. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below -
1. Professor: Academic Level-14 Rs.1,44,200/- to Rs.2,18,200/-.
2. Associate Professor: Academic Level-13A Rs. 1,31,400/- to Rs.2,17,100/-.
3. Assistant Professor: Academic Level-10 Rs57,700/- to Rs.1,82,400/-.
