in 10+2 TES Course-43 Commencing Jul 2020 in Indian Army.
INDIAN ARMY
QUALIFICATION EDUCATION
Aspirants passed class of 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with
a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized
education boards are eligible to apply for this entry. Eligibility condition
for calculating PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based
on marks obtained in Class XII only.
AGE LIMIT-AGE
CALCULATOR
Aspirant’s required age should be in between of 16½ years and 19½
years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence i.e.
the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2001 and not after 01 Jan 2004
(both days inclusive).
RELAXATION
TECHNIQUES
Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST
& OBC category candidates.

Rs. 8785/- per week (or as notified from time to time) for the

Training Wing.

10. VCOAS: Level 17 - ₹2,25,000/-.
11. COAS: Level 18 - ₹2,50,000/-.
RESERVATION
The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per
provision of the sarkari naukri of India as amended from time to time.
INDIAN ARMY
TYPE OF COMMISSION
On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be
granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
INDIAN ARMY
TRAINING
Total training will be 5 years. Details are as under
Ø 1- Basic Military Training: 1 year (Officer Training
Academy Gaya).
Ø 2- Technical Training - (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission
Training): 3 years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME
Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at
CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
Ø 3- Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded
Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No
ante date will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering
degree. During the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one
relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum two
relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8
semesters) in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the
officer on academic grounds will lead to termination of his commission.
Cost of Training
(Borne by State; will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for
personal reasons).
INDIAN ARMY SELECTION PROCESS
The aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance
in short listing of Applications, SSB interview test and medical test -
(1) Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated HQ of MoD
(Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on cut off percentage
applied as decided. After shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment will
be intimated to the candidate online. After allotment of Selection Centre,
candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a
first come first serve basis.
(2) Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff
percentage will undergo SSB at one of the Selection Centres i.e, Allahabad
(UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab) by
Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter
for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s
registered e-mail ID and SMS only. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the
discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of MoD
(Army) and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard.
(3) Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure.
Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be
returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interview is five days and details of
the same are available at the official website of Directorate General of
Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical
examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
(4) In the eventuality of being recommended by SSB, candidate
should have no objection for undergoing medical examination by board of
Male/Female doctors.
(5) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit,
will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on
the number of vacancies available.
(6) The finally selected candidates will execute all the
Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under AI 53/78.
(7) Candidate will not have any objection in the event of final
selection, on allotment of any Arm/Service in the interest of organization.
ENTITLEMENT FOR TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE
Aspirants appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a
particular type of commission shall be entitled for ACIII Tier to and fro
railway fare or bus face including reservation cum sleeper charges within the
Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will
not be entitled to travelling allowances on any subsequent occasion.
PHYSICAL
STANDARDS
As per details given below
HEIGHT
& WEIGHT
The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with
correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly
areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be
relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of
candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2
cms.
VISUAL
STANDARDS
The minimum acceptable visual acuity are : Distant vision
(corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5
including Astigmation. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for
having undergone Radial Keratotomy to improve the visual acuity will be
permanently rejected. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for
correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.
PERMANENT
BODY TATTOOS
Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm
i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back
(dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are
not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes
with tattoos marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and
traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.
INDIAN ARMY
MEDICAL EXAMINATION-TO PASS FIT
A aspirants must be in good physical and mental health free from
any disability.
NOTE
Prospective aspirants are advised to exercise and keep themselves
physically fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical
training at Indian Military Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the
regime there candidates are advised to achieve following standards before
joining the IMA, if finally selected:- (a) Running 2.4 Km in 15 minutes (b) Pushups
- 13 Nos (c) Sit ups - 25 Nos (d) Chin ups - 6 Nos (e) Rope climbing - 3-4
metres.
Aspirants to bring documents to the Selection Center
1. One copy of the print out application duly self-attested by the
candidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interview.
2. Class 10th certificate / mark sheet in original showing DOB.
3. Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original.
4. ID proof in original.
5. The second copy of the printout of online application is to be
retained by the candidate for his reference. There is no need to send any hard
copy of application printout to Directorate General of Recruiting.
6. Two self-attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned at
ser (c) above will be submitted at the time of SSB interview and originals will
be returned after verification at the SSB itself.
7. 20 copies of self-attested PP size photograph will also be
carried along with the Application Form.
8. Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of
multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of
candidature.
ADMIT CARD-HALL TICKET
Aspirants can download their Admit Card well in advance of commitment of examination from Indian Army website. Admit Card may be send by email also.

AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 16½ years to 19½ years as on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing ie. the candidates should not be born before 01 Jul 2000 and not after 01 Jul 2003 (both days inclusive).
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST & OBC category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: No application fee is required.
PAY & ALLOWANCES: Rs.56100/0 177500/- + applicable allowances - level 10 of 7th CPC.
STIPEND: Rs 8785/- per week (or as notified from time to time) for the period of candidate’s stay at the Officers Training Academy, Gaya/Cadet Training Wing.

7. Brigadier: Level 13A - ₹1,39,600-2, 17,600/-.
8. Major General: Level 14 - ₹1,44,200-2,18,200/-.
9. LT General: Level 15 - ₹1,82,200-2,24,500/-.
10. VCOAS: Level 17 - ₹2,25,000/-.
11. COAS: Level 18 - ₹2,50,000/-.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
TYPE OF COMMISSION: On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
TRAINING: Total training will be 5 years. Details are as under -
1- Basic Military Training: 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya).
2- Technical Training - (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
3- Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No ante date will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum two relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8 semesters) in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the officer on academic grounds will lead to termination of his commission.
Cost of Training: (Borne by State; will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons).
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in short listing of Applications, SSB interview test and medical test -
(1) Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on cut off percentage applied as decided. After shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate online. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first come first serve basis.
(2) Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will undergo SSB at one of the Selection Centres i.e, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard.
(3) Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available at the official website of Directorate General of Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
(4) In the eventuality of being recommended by SSB, candidate should have no objection for undergoing medical examination by board of Male/Female doctors.
(5) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.
(6) The finally selected candidates will execute all the Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under AI 53/78.
(7) Candidate will not have any objection in the event of final selection, on allotment of any Arm/Service in the interest of organisation.
ENTITLEMENT FOR TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE: Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of commission shall be entitled for ACIII Tier to and fro railway fare or bus face including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not be entitled to travelling allowances on any subsequent occasion.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: As per details given below-
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.
VISUAL STANDARDS: The minimum acceptable visual acuity are : Distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.
PERMANENT BODY TATTOOS: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoos marks on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.
TO PASS FIT: A candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability.
NOTE: Prospective candidates are advised to exercise and keep themselves physically fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical training at Indian Military Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the regime there candidates are advised to achieve following standards before joining the IMA, if finally selected:- (a) Running 2.4 Km in 15 minutes (b) Push ups - 13 Nos (c) Sit ups - 25 Nos (d) Chin ups - 6 Nos (e) Rope climbing - 3-4 metres.
Following documents are to be carried to the Selection Center by the Candidate:
1. One copy of the print out application duly self attested by the candidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interview.
2. Class 10th certificate / mark sheet in original showing DOB.
3. Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original.
4. ID proof in original.
5. The second copy of the printout of online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference. There is no need to send any hard copy of application printout to Directorate General of Recruiting.
6. Two self attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned at ser (c) above will be submitted at the time of SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself.
7. 20 copies of self attested PP size photograph will also be carried alongwith the Application Form.
8. Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
