Eligibility Criteria

· To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must meet the following criteria:

· They must be a citizen of India.

· They must have passed the 12th standard examination with English as a subject.

· They must have a typing speed of 80 wpm in Hindi and 60 wpm in English.

· They must have a good knowledge of the Rajasthan High Court Rules and Procedures.

Educational Qualifications

A candidate for direct recruitment:

· Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination in Arts or Science or Commerce of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or an Examination equivalent thereto recognized by the Government or any Higher Examination and;

· Must possess a good working knowledge of Hindi as written in Devanagri script & of Rajasthan Dialects and;

· Must have passed :- “O” or Higher Level Certificate Course conducted by DOEACC under control of the Department of Electronics, Government of India; (or)

· Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/ Data Preparation & Computer Software (DPCS) certificate organized under National/ State council of Vocational Training Scheme; (or)

· Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Application from any university established by Law in India or from an institution recognized by the Government; (or)

· Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a Polytechnic Institution recognized by the Government; (or)

· Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT) Conducted by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota under control of Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited; (or)

· Senior Secondary School Examination with Computer Science as an optional subject; (or) Equivalent higher qualification.

Age Limit

A candidate for direct recruitment to the Service must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years on 01.01.2024. For age relaxation details, do check the official notification.

Application Process

The application process will be conducted online. Candidates can apply for the recruitment on the official website of the Rajasthan High Court. The application process will begin on August 1, 2023 and will end on August 30, 2023.

Gen/ OBC / EBC (CL)/ Other State Applicants: Rs.700/-

OBC/ EBC (NCL)/ EWS of Rajasthan State: Rs.550/-

SC/ ST/ PWD of Rajasthan State: Rs.450/-

Selection Process

Competitive Examination for the posts of Stenographers Grade-III/ Stenographers Grade-II shall consist of the subject given in two alternative Groups A and B. A candidate shall be required to pass the subject group of the post applied and required to pass Group C compulsorily.

· Group A – English Short Hand Test

· Group B – Hindi Short Hand Test

· Group C – Computer Test

· Interview

· Speed & Efficiency Test

The selection process will consist of the following two phases:

Written Examination: The written examination will be held in two parts: a preliminary examination and a main examination. The preliminary examination will be a qualifying examination. The main examination will be a competitive examination.

Interview: The candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of experts.

Salary

The starting salary for a Stenographer in the Rajasthan High Court is Rs. 33,800/- to 1,06,700/-per month. The salary will increase with the grade of the Stenographer.
