Educational Qualification
To apply for the PGCIL Officer
Trainee Recruitment 2024, candidates must meet the following educational
requirements:
· Officer Trainee
(Environment Management): Two years full time Master’s degree in Environmental
Science / Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Engineering or equivalent
with First Class from recognized Institute / University.
· Officer Trainee
(Social Management): Two years full time Masters degree in Social Work with
First class from recognized Institute / University.
· Officer Trainee
(Human Resource): Two years full time Post Graduate Degree / Diploma / MBA in
HR / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Social work (with
specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations) HRM and
Labour Relations/ Labour and Social Welfare from recognized University/
Institute with not less than 60% marks.
· Officer Trainee
(PR): Graduate with full time PG Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication /
Public Relations / Journalism with 60% marks from recognized Institute /
University.
Experience
While no prior work experience
is mandatory for the Officer Trainee position, candidates with relevant
internships or project work may have an added advantage during the selection
process.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for
applying to the PGCIL Officer Trainee position is 28 years
as of December 14, 2024. Age relaxations apply as per government norms:

OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
·
SC/ST:
5 years
·
PwD:
10 years
Pay Scale
Compensation during training period- Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- along with IDA, HRA and
perks @12% of basic pay during training period.
Designation & Level on successful completion of training
period – Officer at E-2 level in
Executive Cadre.
Approximate
CTC Per Annum – During Training –
Rs.10.70 Lakhs
After Successful completion of
Training – Rs. 21.40 Lakhs.
Basic
Pay on Regularization –
On successful completion of
training and upon regularization, the candidate will be absorbed as Officer in
E2 scale – Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1,60,000/- (IDA).
Selected candidates will be offered an
attractive pay
scale of INR 40,000 – INR 1,40,000/-
during the training period. Upon successful completion of training, candidates
will be absorbed as regular employees with enhanced pay packages.
Selection Procedure
The PGCIL Officer Trainee
Selection Process involves multiple stages:
1. Written
Examination: A computer-based test (CBT)
assessing technical knowledge, general aptitude, and reasoning skills.
2. Group
Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates will
participate in group discussions to evaluate communication and teamwork
abilities.
3. Personal
Interview: A final round to assess the
candidate’s suitability for the role.
Reservation
PGCIL adheres to the
Government of India’s reservation policy. Reservations are available for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), EWS,
