The UPSC has announced a total of 394 vacancies for the NDA I 2026 cycle. The detailed breakup is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must strictly adhere to the following eligibility norms before applying:
1. Educational Qualification
- For Army Wing: Passed Class 12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination from a recognized State Education Board or University.
- For Air Force & Naval Wings: Passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Note: Candidates currently appearing in the 12th Class examination can also apply.
2. Age Limit
- Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
- Date of Birth: Candidates must be born not earlier than 2nd July 2007 and not later than 1st July 2010.
3. Experience
- No prior experience is required. Freshers (12th Pass/Appearing) are eligible.
Pay Scale / Salary
Cadets selected for training will receive a fixed stipend during the training period at IMA/INA/AFA.
- Stipend: ₹56,100 per month (Level 10) during training.
- After Commissioning: Lieutenant rank with Pay Matrix Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) plus MSP, DA, and other allowances.
Selection Process
The selection for UPSC NDA 2026 involves three major stages:
- Mathematics (300 Marks)
- General Ability Test (600 Marks)
- Intelligence and Personality Test conducted by the Services Selection Board.
- Final check for physical and medical fitness standards.

- SC / ST / Female / Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs: Nil (Exempted)

- One Time Registration (OTR): Candidates must first register on the OTR platform at
upsconline.nic.in. - Fill Application Form: Login using your OTR credentials and fill out the NDA I 2026 application.
- Part-I Registration: Enter basic details, educational qualifications, and address.
- Part-II Registration: Pay the fee, select the exam center, and upload photographs/signatures.
- Document Upload: Ensure your photo and signature meet the specified dimensions.
- Final Submission: Review all details carefully and click "Submit". Print the confirmation page.
