Detailed Selection Process for IOCL Executive Posts 2026

The selection process for IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 is multi-stage and rigorously structured to identify the most suitable candidates. It comprises three main components: Computer Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD) combined with Group Task (GT), and Personal Interview (PI).

Candidates first appear for the CBT, which carries 85% weightage in the final merit. Only those who meet the section-wise and overall qualifying marks are shortlisted for the next stage based on CBT scores arranged in descending order within each domain. Shortlisted candidates then undergo Group Discussion and Group Task (combined 5% weightage), followed by a Personal Interview (10% weightage). Minimum qualifying marks of 40% are required in both GD/GT and PI for all categories. A final composite score is calculated, and candidates must also clear the overall composite cut-off (45% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL, 40% for SC/ST, and 30% for PwBD). Document Verification and a Pre-Employment Medical Examination are mandatory before final appointment. Mere qualification at any single stage does not guarantee selection.
