Vacancy Details & Reservation Policy
A total of 501 posts are available across various divisions including the Northern Region Pipelines and Refineries.
- Vertical Reservation: Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and EWS as per Government of India guidelines.
- Horizontal Reservation: 4% reservation for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) and special quotas for Ex-Servicemen where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Trade Apprentice: 10th Pass + Regular Full-time ITI in relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT).
- Technician Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Instrumentation, etc.).
- Graduate Apprentice: B.A./B.Com/B.Sc./BBA from a recognized University.
- Note: Minimum 50% marks required (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years (as of 31-12-2025)
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST (+5 years), OBC (+3 years), PwBD (up to +10 years).
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection is primarily Merit-Based (based on marks in the qualifying examination), followed by:
- Shortlisting (Merit List)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination
Exam Pattern (If applicable for specific units)
- Subjects: General Aptitude, Reasoning, Basic English, and Technical Discipline.
- Total Marks: 100 Marks.
- Time Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours).
- Negative Marking: No negative marking (usually).
Salary Structure & Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act:
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹9,000 per month.
- Technician/Trade Apprentice: ₹8,050 – ₹8,500 per month.
- Additional Benefits: ₹2,500/- Miscellaneous Allowance (in specific divisions), safety gear, and medical facilities.
