NOTIFICATION: North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) Deemed University, Nirjuli (Itanagar) Arunachal Pradesh invites online applications for the recruitment of 75 vacant posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various disciplines on Regular Basis from Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply online at official website up to 20-11-2014.

Professor: 22 -UR-08, OBC-07, SC-04, ST-02, PWD-01 (UR).
Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000/- + AGP Rs.10000/-.
Associate Professor: 33 -UR-10, OBC-12, SC-06, ST-03, PWD-01 (UR), PWD-01 (OBC).
Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000/- + AGP Rs.9000/-.
Assistant Professor: 20-UR-01, OBC-08, SC-08, PWD-2 (OBC), PWD-1 (UR).
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100/- + AGP Rs.6000/-.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below-
PROFESSOR: A passed of Ph.D. with first class in Master's or B. Tech Degree in the appropriate branch or equivalent with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of ten years' experience out of which at least 05 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research; and a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy paper.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: A passed of Ph.D. with first class in Master's or B.Tech Degree in the appropriate branch or equivalent with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of eight years' of experience of teaching and/or research at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research; and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy paper.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: A passed of Master's with 1st class or equivalent or B. Tech Degree first class with Ph.D. in the appropriate branch of Engg. with a very good academic record throughout. For Science and Humanities Group, NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition. However, candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
CONTRACTUAL APPOINTMENT AT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR LEVEL: A passed of Master's with 1st class or equivalent or B. Tech Degree first class with Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. For Science and Humanities Group, NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition. However, candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicant’s required age must be as per UGC/University norms.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.200/- by SC/ST candidates and Rs.500/- by others in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Director, NERIST” and payable at SBI Nirjuli (Code No.9535), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh to be paid.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
