CTET -2015, CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TESTS THROUGH CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) - Feb - 2015

NOTIFICATION:   In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th July, 2011 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE. Central board of secondary education (CBSE) invites online applications for the written test of CBSE- Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET Feb – 2015 for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes 1st to 4th (Primary Stage) and for Classes 6th to 8th (Elementary Stage) from Indian residents who are eligible & interested, candidates can apply online at official website up to 08-01-2015.  Proposed date of test for CTET Feb – 2015 is any Sunday of Feb 2015.
Candidates can download detail advt./notification from official website for recruitment information like required age/ reservation in age/  required education qualification/ required application fee/ reservation for posts/ syllabus/ date of test/last date to apply/number of posts/name of department/ mode of selection/ how to apply and other instructions.

DETAILS OF CTET- Feb - 2015:  Central Teacher Eligibility Test –

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:  As per details given below-

1- PRIMARY TEACHER:   A passed of Senior Secondary or its equivalent pass with at least 50% marks and shall have passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE, Regulation, 2002.

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education

2- ELEMENTARY TEACHER:   A passed of Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

NOTE:  Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility to apply shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently able.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of the CTET result.

REQUIRED FEE:    An amount of Rs. 600/- each for I or II and Rs. 1000/- by General & OBC candidates for both paper combined and Rs. 300/- each for I or II and Rs. 500/- by SC/ST & Diff. Able candidates.

Service Charges & Service Tax if applicable will be charged extra by the Bank.

The fee can be remitted in the through Challan by deposit of prescribed fee in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank in favour of “Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi” or by Debit/Credit Card.
Recruitment of 2467 vacant posts of Teacher (Class- III) Zilla Shikshan Samiti and Teacher (Class- III) Nagar Shikshan Samiti in Gujarat.

PATTERN OF CTET -2015 TEST:  The CTET examination will be of objective type /Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET 1st & 2nd.

(i) Paper I is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

(ii) Paper II is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

NOTE: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

POST RESERVATION:  Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS:  Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test/Interview.

ADMIT CARD WILL BE AVAILABLE:    From 02-02-2015 onward.

HOW TO APPLY:   Eligible and interested candidates must apply online at official website up to 08-01-2015. Candidates must keep a hard copy of online submitted Application Form which will be required to be brought by the candidate at the time of Interview along with all original Documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY ONLINE:   Applicant must have a valid E mail ID, & Mobile No., scanned photo and scanned signature before applying online. CTET, Delhi may send call letter through this address. Follow all instructions to apply online.

Step 2- Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature-

The scanned images of photographs and signature should be in jpg format.

Size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 100 kb.

Size of the signature image must be greater than 1kb and less than 25 kb.

Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width)x 4.5 cm (height)only.

Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x1.5 cm (height) only.

Step 3- Pay Examination Fee by Challan or debit/credit card.

Step 4- Update fee details on CTET website if payment made through Challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.

Step 5- Print Confirmation page for your record and future reference, if required.
