NO. OF POSTS:     72 vacant posts of School Inspector, Lecturer, Information & Cultural Officer and Inspecting Officer (Drugs) through Tripura PSC.

NOTIFICATION:    The provision for constitution of Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commissions.
Tripura got her statehood on 21st January, 1972 and Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G. P. Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.

 TPSC invites offline applications for the recruitment of 72 vacant posts of School Inspector, Lecturer, Information & Cultural Officer and Inspecting Officer (Drugs) from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 27-01-2015.

POST WISE DETAILS:      72 Posts of School Inspector, Lecturer, Information & Cultural Officer and Inspecting Officer-

1. INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS:   33 Posts- UR-17 (PH Blind-01), SC-06 and ST-10.

2. 2- LECTURER:   20 Posts- UR-10, SC-03 and ST-07.

3. INFORMATION & CULTURAL OFFICER:   08 Posts- UR-05, SC-01 & ST-02.

4. INSPECTING OFFICER (DRUGS):   11 Posts- UR-5, SC-2 & ST-4.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:  A passed of Master’s Degree/Honors Degree in any subject securing at least 45%marks from any recognized University with good academic records. A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed to the ST/SC candidates and B.T./ B.Ed. from any recognized University/T. Ed. 06 months abridged course certified by Tripura University/CETE from IGNOU OR Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant branch with 1st Class or equivalent from AICTE approved Institution OR Degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from any University established in India by law.

REQUIRED AGE:    Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 40 years as on 27-01-2014.

AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC & Ex Servicemen category candidates.

PAY SCALE:     As per details given below-

1. Inspector of Schools:   Rs. 9,570/- - Rs. 30,000/- + GP Rs. 3,500/-.

2. Lecturer:   Rs. 15,600/- - Rs. 39,100/- + GP Rs. 5,400/-.

3. Information & Cultural Officer:   Rs. 9,570/- - Rs. 30,000/- + GP Rs. 2,600/-.

4. Inspecting Officer (Drugs):   Rs. 13,575/- - Rs. 37,000/- + GP Rs. 3,700/-.

REQUIRED FEE:   As per details given below-

1. For Group A Posts:   General & OBC category candidates have to pay Rs. 200/- and ST/ SC/ BPL card holder & PH candidates have to pay Rs. 150/-.

2. For Group B Posts:     General & OBC category candidates have to pay Rs. 150/- and ST/ SC/ BPL card holder & PH candidates have to pay Rs. 100/-.

3. For Group C Posts:    General  &  OBC category candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- and ST/ SC/ BPL card holder &  PH candidates have to pay Rs. 50/-.

NOTE:    Recruitment Application Fee is to be paid to the Account No.31176521319 of the State Bank of India (core banking branches) in favour of “the Secretary, Tripura Public Service Commission”. The Bank deposit Receipt is to be affixed with the filled up application form in the specified Box on the 2nd page of the form.

POST RESERVATION:  The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.

SELECTION PROCESS:   The suitable candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written Examination & Personal Interview.

Applicants must deposit the form at the Reception Counter of the TPSC Secretariat by 5.00 PM of the closing date up to 27-01-2015. Applicants may obtain the acknowledgement including Receipt Number from reception counter of the Commission.

The 4 (four) pages Application Form printed in colour font will be available from all Branches/Extension counters of Tripura Gramin Bank in the State of Tripura on deposit of the prescribed Recruitment Fee through the Special Deposit Slip to the Account No. 14711 in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. in the same Branch/Extension counter as a single window system without any extra charge/Commission from the candidates.

Eligible and Interested  candidate must enclose  2 copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the Application and Admit Card  before depositing application to the office of the TPSC Secretariat.
