NOTIFICATION: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi (A Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs) inviting online applications for filling up 398 (Group A) vacant posts of Assistant Commandants (GD) सहायक कमांडेंट्स in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from eligible and interested willing male & Female candidates. CAPF Wise Vacancies –
1. BSF: 60 Posts.
2. CRPF: 179 Posts.
3. CISF: 84 Posts.
4. ITBP: 46 Posts.
5. SSB: 29 Posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test only.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination, 2018 to the Paramilitary regulations given in notice.
SEX: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
PAY SCALE: Rs.15600-39100/-+ Grade Pay Rs.5400/- for UPSC Recruitment 2018 for 398 vacancies in CAPF of ACs.
AGE LIMIT: In between of 20 years-25 years as on 01-08-2018 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1993 and not later than 1st August, 1998.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
केन्द्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बल (सहायक कमांडेंट) परीक्षा- 2018
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: An application Fee of Rs.200/- by General & OBC candidates have to paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card up to 20-05-2018.
SC/ST/Women candidates are exempted from paying of fee.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination to be conducted on 12-08-2018 by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC -
1- Written Examination: The written examination to be conducted by the UPSC will have two papers.
• Paper I will have objective (multiple answers type0 questions of 250 marks to test candidates general ability and intelligence.
• Paper II will have questions on general studies, essay and comprehension carrying 200 marks.
• There will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective type question paper.
• There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper. Paper I will be evaluated first and Paper II will be evaluated only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
2- Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests: Candidates who clear the written examination will be called for Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
3- Interview/Personality Test: Those who clear the second hurdle will be call for interview carrying 150 marks.
NOTE: The final merit list will made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written test and interview/personality test.
Date of Written Examination: August 12, 2018.

1. Paper I: 10 am to 12 noon.
2. Paper-II: 2 pm to 5 pm.
