NO.OF VACANCIES:     Various vacant posts of Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police & CAPF and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF (SSC SI CAPF 2019) through Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Vacancies:     Vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancy position will be uploaded on the website of the Commission from time to time (https://ssc.nic.in >Candidate‟s Corner > Tentative Vacancy).  Candidates selected for appointment for posts of SI in CAPFs and ASI in CISF are liable to serve anywhere in India.

PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION:     As per details given below -

1. Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs:    (Central Armed Police Forces) is classified as Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

Pay Scale:   Level-6 (Rs.35400-112400/-). 

2. Sub Inspector (Executive):   (Male/ Female) in Delhi Police is classified as Group C (Non-Gazetted) by Delhi Police.

Pay Scale:   Leve-6 (Rs.35400-112400/-). 

3. Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF is classified as Group C (Non-Gazetted).

Pay Scale:   Level-5 (Rs.29200-92300). 


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:        A passed of Degree/Diploma/ Certificates including Technical education Degree/Diploma or equivalent in any discipline from any recognized University or Institute.

Note-1:      For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:      Male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests . Otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. However the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motor Cycle and Car) can apply for all other CAPFs posts.

NOTE-2:      As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10.06.2015 published in the Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission.


Note - 3:     Further, as per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23.06.2017, under Part-I (2) (P), the programmes in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy etc are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.

Note - 4:     Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification as on 01-01-2020 will not be eligible and need not apply.

Note- 5:     All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission in Computer Base Examination will be required to produce all relevant Certificates in original such as Mark sheets/ Provisional Degree/ Diploma Certificate as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2020 failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/ she has been declared passed will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification.

NOTE- 6:     A Matriculate ex-serviceman (which term includes an ex-serviceman, who has obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of education or the corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force), who has put in not less than 15 years of service as on closing date with Armed Forces of the Union shall be considered eligible only for appointment to the Group “C” posts of SI in Delhi Police, and ASI in CISF against the posts reserved for ex-servicemen. Thus, those Non-Graduate ex-servicemen who have not completed 15 years of service as on the last date for receipt of applications are not eligible for any post.

Further, as per extant guidelines of Department of Personnel & Training, deemed graduation of Indian Army Special Certificate of education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force, on completion of 15 years in Armed Forces is not applicable for Group-B posts.

AGE LIMIT:    20 - 25 years as on 01-01-2020 for SSC CPO Recruitment 2019 for various SI in DP & CAPF & ASI in CISF Posts - Apply Now.

AGE RELAXATION:    Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.

REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE:      An amount of Rs 100/- as an application fee is payable online applications by General/EWS & OBC candidates through Credit/Debit card, Net Banking or through e payment Post Office up to 18-10-2019. Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa MasterCard, Maestro RuPay Credit, or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branch by generating SBI Challan.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee, as per rules/instructions of Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.

POST RESERVATION:   Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Women and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.


SELECTION PROCEDURE:     Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Computer Based Examinations in Paper- I & II, PET, PST and Medical Test. There will be no interview component. Candidates, who qualify paper-1 exam, will be eligible to appear for PET, PST and Medical Test and then who clear the PET, PST and Medical Test will be allowed to appear in Paper-2 exam.

NOTE:     1. The examination will consist of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the examination are mandatory.

2. Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts-I, II and III of Paper-I. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper-II. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

3. Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No.1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut off marks.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:   (For all above posts) -

(i) Male Candidates: Height:  170 cms (162.5 cms for ST and 165 cms for Hill areas).

Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded):  80 cms/ 85 cms (77/82 cms for ST and 80/85 cms for Hill areas).

(ii) Female Candidates:  Height:   157 cms (154 cms for ST and 155 cms for Hill areas).

Chest- Not applicable.

(iii) Weight:   Corresponding to height for all posts.

3 - Medical standard (For all posts):      All the candidates who qualify in Paper-II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. Candidates, who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days. Decision of Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal/ representation against the decision of the Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be entertained.

Eye sight:     The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. In right handed person, the right eye is better eye and vice versa.

 The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Physical Endurance Test Will NOT CARRY ANY MARKS BUT WILL BE OF QUALIFYING /ELIMINATION NATURE.

NOTE: 1       Ex-Servicemen applying for the posts in CAPFs are not required to undergo PET. The Ex- Servicemen candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police have also been exempted from PET. However, all Ex-Servicemen are required to pass the written test and fulfil the physical standards prescribed for direct recruits for recruitment of Sub Inspector/ Assistant Sub-Inspector, as the case may be. They should also pass the medical standards prescribed for direct recruits.


NOTE: 2    The candidature of female candidates who are pregnant at the time of Physical Endurance Test will be rejected as they cannot undergo PET. No appeal /representation will be entertained against such rejection.

Note: 3     Medical Examination all the candidates who qualify in the PET will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. Candidates, who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days. Decision of Re-Medical Board / Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal / representation against the decision of the Re-Medical Board / Review Medical Board will be entertained.

IMPORTANT:       Only those candidates who qualified in PET/ PST will be allowed to appear in Paper-II Examination.

Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:

1. UR: 30%

2. OBC/ EWS: 25%

3. All other categories: 20%

On the basis of their performance in Paper-I+Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.

Note: 4 Finally selected candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector would, as part of training curriculum, have to pass seven obstacle events as mentioned below, failing which they may not be retained in the Force -

1. Jumping over the Vertical Board;

2. Holding the rope on jumping from the Board.

3. Tarzan Swing;

4. Jumping on the Horizontal Board;

5. Parallel Rope;

6. Monkey Crawl;

7. Vertical Rope.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:     The examination will consist of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the examination are mandatory.

NOTE –I:    Candidates will have to undergo PET / MEDICAL Examination.

Physical Endurance Test (PET) (For all posts) -

1. Male candidates only:

a) 100 meters race in: 16 seconds.

b) 1.6 Kms race in:  6.5 minutes.

c) Long Jump:  3.65 metres in 3 chances.

d) High Jump:  1.2 metres in 3 chances.

e) Shot put (16 Lbs):  4.5 metres in 3 chance.

2. Female candidates only:

a) 100 metres race in:  18 seconds.

b) 800 metres race in:   4 minutes.

c) Long Jump:   2.7 metres in:   3 chances.

d) High Jump:   0.9 metres in:   3 chances.

Note: II.   There shall be no minimum requirement of chest measurement for Female candidates.

2. Relaxation in height and chest (as the case may be) as mentioned above will be permissible only on production of certificate in the proforma as prescribed in Annexure VIII from the competent authorities of the District where they ordinarily reside.

3. “The relaxation in physical standards (height/chest) once granted at the time of initial appointment in Delhi Police will hold good till the individual concerned remains in Delhi Police.”

4. Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e height and chest, may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the PET ground. The decision of the appellate authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained.

योग्यता:     उम्मीदवारों के पास किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्था से बैचलर की डिग्री होनी चाहिए, वहीं मेल कैंडिडेट्स के पास वैलिड ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस (Motorcycle and Car) होना चाहिए। 

परीक्षा प्रक्रिया:       परीक्षा में पेपर-1 और पेपर-2 दोनों में ऑब्जेक्टिव मल्टीपल च्वाइस के प्रश्न होंगे,  हर गलत उत्तर के लिए 0.25 की नेगेटिव मार्किंग होगी, तीन चरणों में परीक्षा का आयोजन किया जाएगा - 

पेपर-1.

पेपर-2  PET, PST और मेडिकल टेस्ट 

मेरिट लिस्ट तीन चरणों के आधार पर तैयार की जाएगी। 

ऐसे करें आवेदन:    सबसे पहले स्टाफ सेलेक्शन कमीशन की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर जाएं, 

इसके बाद होमपेज पर लॉगइन टैब पर क्लिक करें,

नए यूजर को रजिस्ट्रेशन करने के लिए जानकारी भरनी होगी,

इसके बाद 3 स्टेप में फॉर्म फिल किया जा सकता है, इसमें पहले बेसिक डिटेल्स, इसके बाद कॉन्टेक्ट इनफो और फिर फोटो और सिग्नेचर अपलोड करें,

अगर आप पहले से यूजर हैं तो आप सीधे जाकर लोग इन फॉर्म भर सकते हैं, 

रजिस्ट्रेशन आईडी बन जाने के बाद आप होम पेज पर अप्लाई बटन पर क्लिक करें, 

इसके बाद CAPF और ‘Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspector In CISF Examination, लिकं पर क्लिक करें।

जानकारी भरें और आवेदन शुल्क जमा करें, 

इस बात का ध्यान ऱखें कि आपकी मेल आईडी और मोबाइल नंबर सही हो, 

इसके बैंक चालान और सब्मिट किए गए फॉर्म का प्रिंट ले लें।
