Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a
recognized university/ institution. Or Bachelor's degree in
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc. & A.H.) from any
recognized university.
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years old as of 1st January
2023.
Domicile: Odisha
(for General and SEBC categories).
Nationality: Indian
citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin who has
migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya,
Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and
Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

OPSC VAS Educational Qualification
A candidate must:
Possess a Bachelor's
degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) of its
equivalent degree from any recognized University/ College/ Institution in India
or abroad.
Possess required
conversion certificate recognized by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) in case
of candidate having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries;
Possess valid
Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970
(Section 21).
Selection Process
Written Examination:
Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination covering topics
related to veterinary science.
Interview:
Shortlisted candidates from the written examination will be called for a
personal interview to assess their suitability for the position.
· Written Examination: Two
papers (Paper I and Paper II) of 2 hours 30 minutes each, with 200
multiple-choice questions each on General Awareness and Domain Knowledge.
· Viva-voce: Shortlisted
candidates will be called for a viva-voce examination.
