ISRO URSC Technician Detailed Selection Process

The selection process for ISRO URSC Technician-B and Driver posts under Advertisement No. URSC:04:2026 consists of multiple stages designed to assess both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In the first stage, applications are screened based on the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification. Eligible candidates are then called for a Written Test or Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates who qualify the written test are shortlisted for the next stage, which is a Skill Test or Trade Test for Technician-B posts and a Driving Test for the driver posts.

The final merit list is prepared based on performance in the written test, subject to qualifying the skill test, document verification and medical fitness.

ISRO URSC Technician Complete Exam Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The exact detailed syllabus and exam pattern will be published along with the admit card or on the official website. However, based on the nature of the posts and previous similar recruitments conducted by ISRO centres, candidates can expect the following structure.

Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly from the standard NCVT trade theory books of their respective trades and practice previous year question papers of similar ISRO or central government technician examinations. The skill test for Technician-B posts will assess practical skills such as assembly, measurement, fault diagnosis, soldering, fitting, machining or refrigeration work depending on the trade.
