J&K POLICE RECRUITMENT 2015 CONSTABLES 4000 VACANCIES

NOTIFICATION:      Police Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar) has notified a recruitment to fill up 4000 vacant posts of carious Constables in J&K Police (Armed/ Executive) from the candidates who have qualified in Matriculation or its equivalent and having eligible age limit. The Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written test and Medical Test. The selected candidates will be paid a salary as per Govt. Rules. J&K Police Recruitment 2015 Constables 4000 Vacancies. Candidates may apply Offline up to 15-10-2015.

ABOUT:    In the good old times, the Police, as per Sir Walter Lawrence, constituted of 1000 village watchmen or “Chowkidars” who were known for their vigilant and inquisitorial abilities. They were mostly drawn from the “Doom” caste of the population known for their excellent detection and transmission of intelligence. It was in the year 1873 AD that formal Police force came into existence with one Police officer Known as Kotwal and 14 Thanedars for Srinagar City. This nuclear force would control crime and take care of Law and order situations with help of Chowkidars and “Harkars”, who were paid by the population out of their annual agricultural produce on a voluntary basis.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:    A passed of Matriculation or its equivalent from any recognized Board.

PAY SCALE:      Rs. 5200/- - 20200/-+GP Rs. 1900/-.

AGE LIMIT:      Candidate’s age should be in between of 18 years – 28 years as on 01-01-2015.

AGE RELAXATION:    Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.

REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE:       A non refundable Application fee of Rs. 300/- to be send in the form of a D D/Postal order drawn at any branch of J&K Bank/Post Office in favour of Chief Account Officer PHQ, payable at Jammu/Srinagar to buy a OMR/OCR Application form along with prospectus and dummy form, which is available at all district SSPs office and SSP CID Cell New Delhi.

General & OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- by ST/SC candidates to be paid through chalan form in Allahabad bank or HDFC bank.

POST RESERVATION:   Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:     Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written test and Medical Test.
