Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the BPSC 71st CCE Mains application is primarily for those who have qualified the Prelims exam.


1. Educational Qualification (As per Prelims)

Pay Scale / Salary Structure

Selection Process

The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination consists of three main stages:


  1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims): Objective Type (MCQ), 150 Marks. This is a Qualifying examination. (Already conducted)
  2. Mains Examination (Written): Descriptive/Conventional Type. Marks from the Mains exam contribute significantly to the final merit list.
  3. Personality Test / Interview: 120 Marks.


Final Merit List is prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Mains Written Examination (900 Marks) and the Interview (120 Marks).

Important Note: As per the latest notices, generally no separate Mains Examination Fee is required for candidates who have already paid the Prelims fee and qualified.

How to Apply Online?

The application process for the Mains exam is exclusively Online and is only for candidates who have cleared the Prelims exam.

  2. Locate the Mains Link: Click on the link for "71st Combined Mains Online Form 2025" or the relevant advertisement.
  3. Login: Log in using the User Name/Registration Number and Password created during the Prelims registration.
  4. Fill Application Form: Complete the detailed Mains application form. This includes filling in personal details, educational qualifications, choosing the Optional Subject (100 Marks, MCQ-based for CCE posts), and selecting service/post preferences.
  5. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of required documents (Matric Certificate for DOB, Graduation Certificate/Mark Sheet, Caste/EWS/PwD Certificate if applicable, Domicile Certificate, etc.) in the prescribed format (usually PDF).
