Vacancy Details & Reservation Policy
The total 575 vacancies are divided into two main categories:
- Graduate Apprentices: 357 Posts
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: 218 Posts
Reservation Policy: Vertical and horizontal reservations for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and PwBD candidates are strictly followed as per Government of India guidelines. Special preference is given to candidates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant Engineering/Technology or Non-Engineering streams (B.Pharm, B.Com, BBA where applicable).
- Technician Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant disciplines.
- Batch Eligibility: Only candidates who passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Maximum Age: As per Apprenticeship Rules.
- Age Relaxation: Standard relaxation applies (+3 years for OBC, +5 years for SC/ST).
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
No Written Exam! The selection is based purely on technical merit.
- Stage 1: Merit Listing based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma.
- Stage 2: Certificate Verification (Scheduled for Jan 21–23, 2026).
- Stage 3: Medical Examination.
Selection Formula
- CGPA Conversion: CGPA is multiplied by 10 to arrive at the percentage.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the senior candidate (by Date of Birth) is given preference.
Salary Structure & Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly stipend via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
