Assistant Loco Pilot: A passed of Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised Institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician /Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine /Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above (OR) 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical /Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering from any Government recognized Board/Institution.

MEDICAL STANDARDS FOR THE POSTS: Candidates called for DV will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of railway staff.
PAY SCALE: Level 02 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs.19900/- + other allowances as admissible.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 28 years as on 01-07-2018 for RRB ALP Recruitment 2018 (Railway Loco Pilot) - 26502 RRB Jobs.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs.500/- by General & OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- by SC/ST/PWD/Women/ Transgender /Minorities/Ex-SM/EBC candidate to be paid through online/offline mode only.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in CBT. There shall be 2 stages examination (First stage CBT and Second Stage CBT) common for ALP and Technician. In addition, candidates who have opted for ALP and qualified in Second Stage CBT have to undergo Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT). Marks will be normalized in all the stages of exam. The entire recruitment process shall involve, first stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification as applicable. The date, time and venue for all the activities viz first stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based AT and DV or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by the RRBs and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in First and Second Stage CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. There shall be no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBT).
